Day 3

Day 3 away from home… Boy was I glad to get a shower today!
Left Yerington Nevada to head to Las Vegas early in the morning.
Drove through the far eastern part of Death Valley. It’s pretty much the middle of no-where.
We stopped in Goldfield to take a peak at some cool old artifacts laying about un-protected.
Had dinner with family, thanks for your hospitality! Sure is great to meet new family members (new to me)!
We’re staying in an RV park, if you can call it that. It’s a parking lot with hook ups. They also have bathrooms, showers, and a laundry room. Not the cleanest, but at least I feel clean-ER.
After dinner, we took a drive down the strip at night to see all the lights. We found cheap gas ($3.55/gal) so we stopped to fill up a couple of blocks from the strip. When Michael went into pay, the girls and I hid in the back. Some scary characters in Vegas at night. Kinda hard to think of Michael as a big muscle man when he’s walking around with a stuffed monkey hanging off of his pants though.
