Day 28

Today we did City of Rocks State Park in New Mexico. Nice and warm here! Didn't get to see much of the park because the rangers scared d'Ete with stories of rattlesnakes...
Headed to Albuquerque to do the Petroglyphs National Monument tomorrow.

On our way to Santa Fe, we saw a town where EVERY (not kidding at all) house and store had chilli's hanging from them. They were everywhere!!

We saw so many cotton fields in the Carolinas and we meant to stop and pick some but forgot, so when we saw a cotton field here in NM, we pulled over and we each got to pick our own bunch (or whatever the technical term is) of cotton!

Our first stop in Santa Fe was Loretto Chapel, to see the miraculous staircase. If you haven't heard the story of the stairs, you should look it up, very interesting!
